Immigration: Is This Our Country Or Not?

Americans are not the only humans living in the United States. Are we being pushed out? Is there more illegal immigrants in our country than natural born Americans?

According to the Pew Hispanic Center there was an estimated 11.5 million illegal immigrants living in the United States in 2011. Although there was an estimated 300,000,000 Americans living in the US, could it be possible that one day immigrants will out grow the American population? This is a good thing to think about even though it is very unlikely that immigrants will take over the US anytime in the near future. Before you make up your mind about immigration, whether its good or bad, here is some common pros and cons to consider.

                   Pros:

  • Cost of production is reduced and prices decline because immigrants are most likely willing to work at lower rates, than needy Americans
  • More opinions and a wider range of ideas from different backgrounds
  • Gives America more power because we have different skills being utilized from all over the world.
  • Results in sharing of knowledge for everyone, and humans have a better chance of understanding the world around them
  • Creates more trade with other countries because we have more people creating supplies and machinery that others might be lacking in or need

                  Cons:

  • Crowding can occur when to many people are trying to live in the same place; food, water, supplies, and housing becomes limited and more valuable
  • New diseases to our country can be introduced if someone carries something Americans have yet to find a cure for
  • If immigrants cant find a job, Americans are forced to support them and it creates a huge burden
  • Other nations lose there knowledgeable people and suffering from a power loss

There are many other results from immigrants coming to America, whether beneficial or disastrous, but one thing that we should always keep in mind is that God created us all and we all live on this planet together as one, no matter where you live. America may not be inhabited by just US citizens, and this may not be our country forever, but this is our world and we have to share it with everyone!

Jacob Hallenberger's, "Increasing NASA's Budget."

The post by Jacob Hallenberger, "Increasing NASA's budget," is very well written and organized. Although I do not agree with the statements in this article, I think that Jacob did a great job in trying to educate people on his opinion with interesting and valid facts. Pointing out that the United States is in a space race with all the other countries of the world is good because America always wants to be the leader. The fact that NASA's funding has reached the lowest amount of money since the creation of the administration is very eye opening and persuading.

I think that the United States is spending way to much money while we don't have any money to spend. Space exploration is cool and all, but I don't think it is that much of an importance to have. Most of my opinion is based on religious beliefs, that is why i am persuaded in the opposite direction. If the world were to have a catastrophic event that wouldn't permit us to live here anymore then I believe it is our time to die and maybe some other life form will take over the universe.

ObamaCare: Yes or No?

Obama has created a new plan of health care called ObamaCare that is being carried out in America today. Is it Beneficial or not? I will give you facts about the plan so that you can properly decide for your self whether to accept this plan or not.

Here are a few facts about ObamaCare that you should know:

  • Caps have been put on the insurance companies to raise the peoples premiums in order to save them from having to pay it.
  • ObamaCare will cut the deficit by over a trillion dollars in the next two decades.
  • Obama's main goal in creating this plan for America is to make sure that all US citizens can have affordable health care plans.
  • Employers with over 50 employees must have their own comparable coverage or pay a fair amount of tax money to ObamaCare for support.
  • Jobs are created not destroyed by Obamacare
  • Obamacare cuts $716 billion of waste from Medicare / Medicaid and cuts reimbursements to private Advantage plans and reinvests it into Obama's health care reform. In other words $716 billion is saved and then $716 billion is reinvested back into Obamacare. Doctors and hospitals almost universally agree on this reform.
  • 19 million Americans will receive tax credits to help pay for health care and most middle class Americans will actually save thousands on health care via tax cuts.
  • By 2019 17 million Americans below the poverty line will be eligible for Medicaid due to expansion of the program.
  • All Americans have the choice either to stay on their current health care plan, have no health care, or get involved with ObamaCare. Every US citizen has a choice, you are not being pushed to do anything.
Should you decide to make ObamaCare your health care plan? Most people will make their decision based on whether they like Obama or not, even if his ideas for ObamaCare are good and beneficial to them. ObamaCare sounds very well thought out and good for anyone especially those that previously couldn't afford health care.
